Thank you to all who participated in the Washington Denturist Association’s Lobby Day at the state capitol. It was a productive and energizing day of advocacy on behalf of our profession and the patients we serve.

Throughout the day, our delegation met with legislators from across the state to share the challenges facing denturists and to highlight the critical role we play in expanding access to oral health care. Our primary message focused on protecting Apple Health (Medicaid) adult dental benefits. We emphasized the significant impact that the recent 2025 reimbursement cuts have already had on providers, and we urged legislators not to implement any further reductions that could limit patient access or destabilize small practices.

We also discussed our 2026 bill priorities and provided context around how each proposal affects denturists, small practices, and patient care.

Thank you again to everyone who showed up, shared their experiences, and helped ensure denturists have a strong voice in Olympia. Your advocacy truly makes a difference.
